Pork Carnitas step by step
- Clean the pork, and place it in the cooking pot.
- Mix black pepper, salt, oregano, cumin, and paprika powder in a small bowl, and use the mixture to season the pork.
- Add garlic and onion.
- Squeeze in 1/2 lemon.
- Add orange juice, cola, some water, and bay leaves.
- Mix it well.
- Stew it for 2 hours until the pork is tender.
- If the pork have reached its tenderness, place it on a board, shred it using 2 forks.
- Place the pulled pork in a baking sheet, add the remaining sauce from the stew, and mix it well.
- Bake it in the oven for 30 minutes (170 degree Celsius). Flipp it after the First 15 minutes, so both side of pulled pork become crispy.
- Place the tortilla in a plate, add the crispy pulled pork, some garnish on it, and Fold it.
- Pork carnitas is ready to be served.
- For garnish: chopped cherry tomatoes, chopped onion, chopped coriander leaves.
